First Responders and Frontline Workers – Thank You!

Written by Kathy on . Posted in Gratitude, Healing, Hope, Love, Togetherness

Many unseen heroes are selflessly stepping up right now and serving their communities, their respective states and even the world, without regard for themselves, their own fears, anxieties or needs. First responders like military service members, police officers, firefighters, doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists, hospital employees and other caregivers are actively working the frontlines and offering healing and hope to everyone watching. However, for the first time in history the front line now also includes truck drivers, digital service employees (ie. phone, internet, cable and bank employees), maintenance, postal and utility service workers, employees of essential needs stores, gas stations, FEDex, UPS and Amazon. This new level of frontline service workers has ensured that the essential needs of those of us sheltering-in-place are met. They are diligently taking care of the tasks before them, allowing the rest of us to handle most things from our homes.  They are bearing the weight of our needs without question and many of them without receiving hazard pay.

While protecting their safety and your own, please consider if there is anything you can personally do to let one of these individuals or groups know that they are seen, loved, respected and DEEPLY appreciated. Take a look at some of the ways young people are showing their appreciation and support across the United States: http://www.msn.com/en-us/lifestyle/lifestyle-buzz/neighborhood-acts-of-kindness-during-the-coronavirus/ss-BB127sJH?li=BBnb7Kz&ocid=UE03DHP

Events all over the world have been making history these past few weeks, and thankfully so has this amazing group of service workers, caregivers, responders and heart-warmers. My deepest gratitude for all you have done and continue to do! Praying that each of you and your families receive continued health, strength, patience, support, love and protection now and in the year ahead. This prayer and thank you goes out world-wide. No matter what continent we live on, we have always been one community and the current state-of-affairs is the greatest reminder of this truth. It is no more evident than now that we are one race, the human race. No individual, community, state, country or continent is alone in this experience. My prayer is that everyone begins to see and feel how true this really is, regardless of where we call home.
